An impassioned and enthusiastic writer focused on unique and intriguing fiction.

A.J. graduated college with a medical degree but, after taking her own grandfather off life support, decided she would much rather experience the drama of life and death through the lives of her characters.

She then pursued an MFA in creative writing and English and now spends sleepless nights crafting stories and building worlds for her characters.

OVERVIEW

No Website

After a particularly difficult personal time period, AJ decided it was time to rededicate herself to her passion: writing. She saw how terrible most author’s websites are, even huge names in the industry, and knew she wanted something different.

Moreover, while most authors write inside of one demographic, AJ spans a wide range of readers. This created an extra challenge of making the entire site look uniform while also ensuring kids don’t stumble onto something meant for older eyes.

SOLUTIONS

An Engaging & Immersive Website

With such a capable and creative person, her site needed to match that and also capture her vibrance and “goofball” (her words) side. So we created a site with fantastical imagery that showcases her books, engages with the user, and utilizes music to tell a story.

Sections for kids are clearly marked and kept separate from other pages. Scary imagery was kept to a minimum just in case. Ultimately AJ opted to not have age verification due to these parameters.

RESULTS

Proud Promotion

AJ now has a website she can use to promote her works, is proud of, and to keep herself on-task and accountable for book releases.

Seeing her visions coming to reality have been a major stepping stone towards her continued success as an author.
